Simões came through the ranks at FC United of Manchester before joining Barnsley in January 2019.

A technically gifted and direct winger, he has since then made 27 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals.

His best run came under previous Barnsley boss Gerhard Struber but he has found opportunities under current head coach Valerien Ismael harder to come by.
