BREAKING: Doncaster Rovers extend Seny Dieng loan until the end of the season

Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan deal of goalkeeper Seny Dieng from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

The Swiss keeper joined Rovers from the Championship club in August for an initial half season spell but is pleased to see his stay extended for the rest of the campaign.

“I’m delighted to have extended my loan with the club,” Dieng said. "My time here so far has been enjoyable with the players and staff around me.

Though he started the campaign as understudy to Ian Lawlor, the 25-year-old was given his chance to start in the League One clash with Peterborough United in mid-September and has been an ever-present in the league since.

He has made 19 appearances in all competitions and has kept five clean sheets, helping Rovers deliver one of the best defensive records in the third tier with only three sides having conceded fewer goals.
