Covid protocol prevents youth team call-up

Andy Butler has revealed why he couldn’t name an academy striker in his squad for the game at Crewe...

“It was down to Covid protocol. The youth team have a separate bubble to our bubble and if you want to bring someone in it has to be done with a test sent down to Leicester. And then you’ve got wait for the result, so with the short turn around it was impossible to do.”

Butler: “Tyreece is coming on really strong. Hopefully in four or five weeks he’ll be back with us.”
