But he says it will come down to being smart with his money as he looks to make new signings count for the club.

But for now, as he begins his recruitment drive in earnest, he will be working with restrictions.

“We know the club has faced the financial difficulties with what has happened in this pandemic,” Moore told the Free Press.

Budget wise this season, it’s going to be tight like the rest of the teams in the division and we have to work with what we’ve got. That’s where we’re at.

“We have to be smart, we have to be clever and we have to work that way. That is where we’re going this season.

“It’s about making sure whoever we bring in, it has to be a careful and precise science.

Moore believes careful consideration of what is available in the market will be a must as he prepares for the new season.Rovers’ talent identification manager Adam Henshall is back at work after being brought off furlough.

Moore said: “It’s about taking our time, looking where we’re at, looking at what’s affordable out there and taking our time so we don’t damage the structure of the football club.

“It will be challenging. The new campaign will be challenging.”
