Stride is delighted to announce the official opening of its doors to the first cohort of students joining its new Alternative Provision and Supported Internship Programme.

Created with a clear purpose, the programme provides an inclusive, supportive and nurturing environment for young people who may find it challenging to engage with traditional education settings.

At Stride, the team recognises that one size does not fit all when it comes to education. Every young person has their own individual needs, strengths, interests and aspirations, which is why the programme has been designed to offer a flexible and personalised approach to learning and development.

The programme is aimed at young people aged 16 - 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), providing them with the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, develop their independence and take meaningful steps towards their future.

Since welcoming its first students, the programme has already made a positive start. Students have settled in well and are adapting to their new environment, embracing the opportunities available to them and beginning to build relationships within the Stride community.

The successful launch marks an exciting new chapter for Stride and its commitment to supporting young people to reach their full potential.

By creating a learning environment where students feel understood, supported and valued, Stride hopes to empower every young person to recognise their strengths, develop their confidence and take positive steps towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.

With the first cohort now underway, Stride is excited to see what the future holds and to continue supporting its students on their individual journeys.
