Whirlpool has recalled a range of kettles due to fears that they could present a burn hazard.

The KitchenAid Kettle, with model code 5KEK1722, has been found to pose a danger that the handle could become loose and separate from the body of the kettle, with a risk of burns.

The recall follows reports of kettles in the USA of handles separating, some of which led to minor burns.
