River levels approach record highs in parts of Doncaster on flood alert
and live on Freeview channel 276
There are flood alerts in place for the Lower Don, River Idle, River Went and River Dearne, with Doncaster Council warning these could be escalated to flood warnings after Storm Christoph gave the region a battering.
In Fishlake, the river level had reached 6.614m as of 8am this morning, according to GaugeMap, only just below the record high of 6.867m when the area was badly flooded in November 2019.

Hide AdThe River Don in Doncaster was up to 5.427m, compared with a high of 6.308m during the 2019 floods.
At Kirk Bramwith, the river level had reached 7.341m, not far short of the record 7.577, while the level at other measuring stations was also well above the normal range.
