But despite yesterday's treacherous weather conditions, several kind souls have come forward and offered their help to those who may just need it without asking anything in return.

He told The Star: "If I can just help one person then that person will go on to help someone else. In a way, it just carries on.
"It's my first time pulling cars but I do try and help in any way possible. I've got a few days where I'm free so I can help as much as I can."
Connor, who had his fiance to help him tow vehicles stuck in the snow yesterday, also said he was available to pick up medication from the pharmacy.

Neil Rhodes, who lives on Murray Road, also received praises from the local community for offering to give a lift to any key workers who may be stranded.
"If any key workers need a lift anywhere, we have 4x4. Happy to assist."
The 44-year-old garage owner said he is available to help throughout the weekend and would be happy to give a lift just about anywhere in the city centre.

On Thursday (January 14) deep snow all over the city caused all public transport to be suspended, disruptions on the roads and schools to close to children of key workers.
The Met Office has issued another yellow warning for snow and ice in the area today (January 15).
