Hour-by-hour Doncaster snow forecast: Will the snow be around for another day?
After a day where snow fell thick and fast in Doncaster, the Met Office has issued another yellow warning for snow and ice in the area today.
Yesterday (January 14) deep snow all over Doncaster caused disruptions on the roads and schools to close to children of key workers.
Covid-19 vaccinations were cancelled as people were unable to get to surgeries, and many Doncaster areas remain ‘snowed in’.
And while snow is still thick on the ground in many parts of the town, the Met Office has indicated that it is unlikely to snow any more today in Doncaster.
It is expected to be foggy most of the day, and temperatures will fall to below freezing. Most of the day it will be cloudy and it will get colder as the night draws in.
A travel warning is still in place due to ice. There is also one in place for tomorrow for snow and ice.
The Met Office has said there will be: “Rain, sleet and snow dying out, leaving a risk of icy surfaces and difficult travel conditions.
"[Expect] some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.”
