Doncaster is on storm alert after the Met Office issued a weather warning for strong winds from tomorrow.
Large parts of the UK are being told to be prepared for strong winds, accompanied by heavy and blustery showers from 9pm on Wednesday following the yellow warning.
The alert lasts until 3pm on Thursday.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to England and Wales.
"Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely and some short term loss of power and other services is possible
“Delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely and some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.”
Forecasters have said fierce winds as strong as 75mph will hit parts of the country, with many areas of the UK also expected to face a week’s worth of heavy rain and torrential downpours.
