HEADLINE - Weather warning issued for South Yorkshire

A weather warning has been issued for South Yorkshire today.

The Met Office has issued yellow warning for rain, with scattered heavy showers expected to develop again, like yesterday, leading to slow-moving downpours.

A Met Office spokesman said: "As on preceding days some locations will miss these downpours, but please be aware of possible localised flooding and disruption to travel where they do occur. Lightning could be an additional hazard."

The day will start dull and will remain cloudy for most of the day, with heavy showers expected to turn thundery, especially over the Pennines.

Temperatures will reach a high of 17C.
