Five friends are spending their school holidays taking part in the Humberside Police Lifestyle project.

Going by the name ‘The Brilliant, Fashionable, Dancing Chicken Wings’, they are raising money for three charities close to their hearts - Action Duchenne, RSPCA Scunthorpe and Phil’s Warriors.

Among the events they have undertaken are a sponsored walk between Epworth and Haxey primary schools and also a fun day at Epworth Youth Centre.

Adult supervisor Cheryl Chatterton said: “Bullying is the focus of their campaign over the coming weeks and they have lots of plans to raise awareness and understanding surrounding bullying, particularly cyber bullying.

“All the children in the group have personal experiences of bullying and have chosen this as part of their project due to this.”

The team consists of ten-year-olds Charlie Chatterton, Evie Rae Hassall, George Blacklock, Alex Seaman and Jake Sayers.
