Video archive of 1,000 Doncaster Rovers matches from 1980s to now goes live

Football enthusiast Andrew Webb has spent the coronavirus lockdown compiling a bank of clips from hundreds of Rovers matches, home and away over dozens of seasons.

The archive officially begins from 1980 onwards but also includes clips from the 1950s and 1960s including scores of games at the club’s former Belle Vue home.

Now he is appealing for fans with footage of games not yet available to get in touch or upload the clips onto YouTube.

He said: “Trying to gather as much footage as possible because there's so many players who possibly haven't seen this in years, but may now want something to show the kids.

“Any help in plugging the gaps will be massively, massively appreciated."
