A vibrant multicultural event celebrating diversity is to be held in Doncaster this weekend, marking Windrush weekend.
Collective Routes and Beyond will take place at Doncaster Gallery, Library and Museum and invites the local community to gather for a day dedicated to shared history, healing, and cultural connection.
Organised as a community-driven initiative, the festival aims to build bridges across diverse backgrounds.
The event takes place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday and will include
Live music and dancing with traditional live performances alongside contemporary sets from local groups including The Skintones.
Art and exhibitions celebrating diverse heritage and storytelling.
Interactive workshops - practical sessions featuring drumming, rhythmic connection, and story sharing.
Shared food - A free community meal designed to bring residents together around shared tables.
Carter's Caribbean Cuisine, which will be providing regional flavours.
