BREAKING: Police divers searching lake for missing Mansfield woman
The renewed appeal follows a comprehensive search around Sutton Lawn, where police frogmen have been diving in the lake and trawling the perimeter of the water for the past three days.
The leaflets released today feature a photo of Melanie showing a distinctive ‘sleeve tattoo’ on her right arm, including a face, which officers hope may help to find her.

Her address has not been released but Nottinghamshire Police has told the Chad the next stage of the plan would be a street search in the area she lives.
Members of the community continue their own efforts to find the young woman, known to have two cats which are being looked after by relatives.
She is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall, with blonde hair and is of a slim build.

Mansfield’s district commander, Insp. Nick Butler said her family are deeply worried for her and appealed for her to contact police or relatives.

He said: “We’re still looking for Melanie and urging anyone who has seen her to get in touch. That one piece of information may help to find her.

“Melanie’s family is distraught and really worried about her, as we all are. One can only imagine how difficult it would be to not have any contact with a loved one for this long.
