Two women rushed to hospital after being attacked by dog at Doncaster house

A woman and teenage girl have been rushed to hospital after being savaged by a dog at a Doncaster house.

Emergency crews were called to a property in Conisbrough earlier today following reports that the dog had attacked two women inside the house.

Police were called to the property in Oak Grove shortly after 10.30am.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance landed in the car park of the nearby Groves Social Club, but it is not known if it was used to transport the pair to hospital.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 10.37am with reports of two people being bitten by a dog inside a property on Oak Grove, Conisbrough.

“Ambulance staff attended and a 30 year old woman and a 17 year old girl were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

“The dog was secured and enquiries are continuing.”

It is not known what breed of dog was involved in the attack.
