Triple Yorkshire Championship success for Doncaster Gymnastics Academy

Doncaster Gymnastics Academy is celebrating a remarkable weekend after three of its teams were crowned Yorkshire Champions at the Yorkshire Teams Competition in Sheffield.

The family-run club, which divides its squad gymnasts by age and competitive level, has enjoyed an exceptional run of success in recent years.

Over the last two years alone, gymnasts from the academy have secured numerous Yorkshire individual and team titles, alongside a growing collection of medals and championship victories across the region.

At the heart of the club’s success is Head Coach Rosie Eves, whose journey has come full circle. Having trained and competed at Doncaster Gymnastics Academy as a young gymnast, Rosie became a Yorkshire Champion at multiple levels before leaving to study at university.

Discovering a passion for coaching, she returned to the club in 2023 and has since helped transform the squad into one of Yorkshire’s most successful competitive teams.

Under Rosie’s leadership, the academy has enjoyed outstanding success, producing multiple Yorkshire Champions and consistently achieving top results at both team and individual competitions. This year’s Yorkshire Teams Competition marked another significant milestone, with three Doncaster Gymnastics Academy teams claiming Yorkshire Championship titles in a single weekend.

Rosie said: “I am incredibly proud of all our gymnasts. Their commitment, determination and hard work in training have been rewarded with fantastic results.

“Having grown up at this club myself, it means so much to return and help the next generation achieve their goals. To see three teams become Yorkshire Champions is an achievement everyone connected with the club can be proud of.”

The club’s success reflects the dedication of its gymnasts, coaches, volunteers and supportive families, all of whom play a vital role in creating a thriving gymnastics community.

With a growing reputation for developing talented young athletes and a long list of recent achievements, the future looks exceptionally bright for Doncaster Gymnastics Academy.
