A1(M) closed on both carriageways overnight (Sunday) for road surface repairs
National Highways has issued an alert that the A1(M) at Doncaster will be closed on both carriageways overnight tonight (Sunday March 15) for road surface repairs
The work involves the exit slips at the A1M junction 37 (Marr).
A spokesman said: “These closures need to be implemented as soon as possible to avoid further surface deterioration and ensure the road remains safe.
“Due to the machinery used on the slip roads , and to keep road users and our workforce safe, the A1M will be closed overnight, both north and southbound, between junctions 36 (Warmsworth) and 38 (Red House).

The Junction 37 Marr Roundabout will also be closed during these works.
Closure details
The closures will be in place from 9pm on Sunday 15 March.
Traffic will be diverted via the A630, A19 and A638 northbound, and vice versa for southbound. A map of the diversion is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=1g_5XYzBAJ2cmUyS9yDNIomE-hQ_eUo8&usp=sharing
The road is due to reopen at 6am on Monday 16 March.
The spokesman added: “We're starting this work later than usual to minimise disruption; however delays are expected.
“If you're planning to travel during this time, please allow plenty of extra time for your journey.”
