Trains cancelled as emergency services deal with incident at Doncaster railway station

Trains from a Doncaster railway station have been cancelled this morning as the emergency services deal with an incident.

All lines are blocked bewteen Doncaster and Hatfield following an incident at Kirk Sandall station.

A spokesman for rail operator Northern said: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Doncaster and Hatfield all lines are blocked.

Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled or delayed.

“Due to emergency services dealing with an inccident at Kirk Sandal train services between Doncaster and Hull and Doncaster and Scunthorpe in both directions are currently being disrupted in both directions. There is currently no estimate to when normal working will resume.

“For passengers on station platforms, please listen for announcements or consult Customer Information Screens for up to date train running information.”

During the coronavirus lockdown, far fewer rail services than normal have been operating.
