She was given the prestigious accolade because the judges said she was fantastic tutor, always going above and beyond for her students.

Apprentice Kyle Anderson was the well-deserving winner of the Apprentice Progression Award.

Ms Winterton presented Kyle, aged 19, of Balby, with his award and said she was very impressed to hear how although Kyle has experienced a number of setbacks in his life, including homelessness, he has overcome these barriers in the last year.

He is now in the process of completing a Level Three Apprenticeship with Absolute Recovery Limited, Tickhill Road.

Kyle said: “The apprenticeship has made a difference in my life, giving me support and guidance. Also, it has developed my social skills due to working in a business environment.”

Ms Winterton added: “Well done to Kyle and Mo, who richly deserve their awards.”
