The Staff of Life to host first Doncaster Ladies Darts Open
Some of the top players from across northern England are expected to be at the Waterdale Village venue - but organisers are keen to attract newcomers and players of all standards.
And it is hoped that the event will help Doncaster become a ‘powerhouse’ in ladies darts.

Hide AdDoncaster’s 12-year-old rising star Beau Greaves, who has been tipped to become the first female darts player to become a millionaire, is also expected to take part.
Rory Doherty, marketing and development manager for the Ultimate Pub Group, said: “The aim of this event is to help grow the female game locally and showcase some of the best female players in the country.
“There are currently two Ladies Super League teams in Doncaster but the aim is to build on this further and make Doncaster a powerhouse for ladies darts.
“There has already been pre-registration from players from Yorkshire’s successful ladies county team as well as ladies from the Doncaster & District League, the Balby & Hexthorpe League and the Bob Nellis League.

Hide Ad“On top of this we have ladies travelling from Lancashire, Durham, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire, so it truly is a national event.”
Registration on the day is from 10.30-11.45am with the competition starting at noon.
Entry is £9 before midnight Friday, November 11, and then £11 on the day.
