Sony Award winner coming to Cast Comedy Club in Doncaster

Headlining is Tom Wrigglesworth, from Russell Howard’s Good News, Comedy Central at the Comedy Store, Live From Sydney Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Comedy Fest.

Described as 'The ultimate crowd pleaser' by The Guardian, he is a Sony Award winner for his Radio 4 series Open Letters and also received rave reviews for his solo shows in Australia and New Zealand.

Yorkshire-born Tom became a national have-a-go hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of Virgin train bureaucracy, only to be arrested for ‘begging’.

His subsequent sell-out show ‘Open Return Letter to Richard Branson’ bagged him a Chortle Award for Best Show and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Festival award.

Catherine Young is opening the night. She is a former Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year who has provided tour support for Scott Bennett and Angelos Epithemiou with her perfect mix of energy, cheeky punchlines and acidic anecdotes.

Also appearing are Welsh wit Stuart Thomas, Bradford based storyteller Louis Etienne and the straight talking Samee Anibaba.

Metro award winner Anthony J Brown is hosting the night. The show starts at 7.45pm. Tickets are £15.50 and are available via the box office on 01302 303 959 and online at castindoncaster.com
