Over 250 people have already signed up for Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s 30,000 step Glow Walk 2018, and they are now being invited to get together for training walks to prepare them for the big event, which takes place on Friday July 6.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Fundraiser Sharon Tune said: “Most people target around 10,000 steps a day, but we’re asking people to times this by three in one night! So we’re helping them to prepare themselves by joining us and their fellow walkers for a weekly evening walk, which takes in some of the route.

“We meet up at the Hospice at 6pm on a Thursday and we’ve already covered both 5K and 15K step walks. We’re having so much fun we don’t notice how far we’re actually walking.”

Registration for the Glow Walk is still open and costs £12.50 per person. It is open now to men and women of all ages, as well as young people aged 13 and over, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
