And an Environment Agency pump spend last night at the Willow Bridge Caravan Park in Bentley as water levels of the River Don have risen, removing water from the scene to prevent flooding. The caravan park flooded in November.

Bridge Hill at Stainforth closed late last night, and Doncaster Council staff were also on hand with sandbags at the scene.

Its closure adds to that of Fordstead Lane, Barnby Dun; Kirk Bramwith Bridge, Clay Lane; West Greys Bridge, Denaby; Jubilee Bridge, Fishlake; A60 Doncaster Road between Tickhill and Wadworth.

The Environment Agency says ‘overtopping’ has occurred from the River Don into the adjacent drain at Fishlake. This is by design however and the agency does not anticipate any property flooding at this time. Levels were expected to peak at midnight.
