Humberside Police confirmed they received a 999 call from a concerned member of the public at 10.24pm last night, reporting information that a young girl had been approached in the Epworth Pavilion earlier that evening.
Officers are scheduled to speak to the girl today.
A resident who did not want to be named said: "Quite a few local residents circled the area to find him but had no joy."
