The Sprotbrough Road branch re-opened for business today following its closure in March as part of the Government’s nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
But several motorists have reported queues and traffic gridlock as chicken fans flock to the restaurant, which is open for drive thru and collection only.

Hide AdOne said on Facebook: “It's madness. The queue is going down Sprotbrough Road and its backing up onto the roundabout and York Road too.
“Are people that desperate to get some chicken?”
Another posted: “They were queueing up before it was even open. What sad people live among us.”
Last week, the Thorne Road branch near Sandall Park re-opened its doors with similar problems.
Queues were stretching back as far as Shaw Lane Industrial Estate and drivers were facing a two hour wait for food.

Hide AdFootage filmed on the day the restaurant re-opened showed ambulances from the nearby ambulance station on Clay Lane West having to drive in the opposite lane in the direction of oncoming traffic to avoid the queues created by drivers waiting to get into the KFC.
The re-opening has also lead to litter problems in nearby Sandall Park with bins left overflowing and rubbish and food containers left scattered around the park.
In a statement issued after road chaos was reported all over the country, KFC bosses urged customers to ‘not all rush at once.’
