The community event was free for all to attend and there were tonnes of rides, inflatables and fun games for children to enjoy.

“It brings the community together to have fun.”

Brian wanted to put on an event for parents during the summer holidays that would not be expensive.

He also wanted to encourage people to come together and meet locals.

Louise Prestwich from Bawtry said: “You meet loads of lovely people and it is just a nice way to have a good chin wag.”

Nichola St Clair from Nicki Doodle Prints agreed, she told us: “I think it really brings everyone together.”

GP Princesses brought delight to children who lined up to meet them.

They told us: “We here to see all our friends for a royal day.

As well as traditional fun stalls there were a range of Doncaster based charities at the event hoping to promote their services to local people.

Catherine Bell from The Me Project said: “We provide art therapy, play therapy and different creative counselling for children.

“We have come today to enlighten families about who we are and what we do across Doncaster.”
