MP expenses 2020: here’s how much politicians in Doncaster claimed last year

Like their constituents, the coronavirus pandemic has meant MPs have had to adapt to a new way of working, often setting up office in their homes rather than Parliament

But that’s not stopped them claiming thousands of pounds in expenses.

Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority figures for the 2020-21 financial year show MPs across the UK had claimed over £9 million as of January 6th.

The JPIMedia Data Unit has analysed the figures to find out how much has been claimed by members in Doncaster.

The area’s three MPs between them spent £31,513.48 on 135 claims over the nine months.

Below we have ranked the top 10 biggest claims – and you’ll be pleased to know there’s not a duck house in sight.
