The questions thrown at Isle MP Andrew Percy were both intelligent and challenging, he said, when he visited St Norbert’s Catholic Voluntary Primary Academy and shared debate with pupils in years 5 and 6.

The MP said: “It’s always a joy to go back into the classroom and speak to pupils about my role as a Member of Parliament and answer any questions that they may have. Young people are so switched on with what’s happening around them and, after events in Paris, terrorism featured in our session.”

He added: “St Norbert’s is a wonderful school and the pupils are always very well turned out and ask really well thought out questions. You definitely need to be prepared and provide proper answers when doing these visits!”
