Picture gallery shows how Doncaster's first heritage steam engine arrived at museum

These pictures show how Doncaster’s first steam loco to go on exhibtion in its new museum was put in place.

The engine, nearly 120 years old and built at Doncaster Plantworks, was delivered from Shildon in the North East of England on Sunday morning.

Our gallery shows the operation from the arrival of the loco in Doncaster on the back of a lorry to its taking pride of place inside the new Danum Gallery Library and Museum.
