80% of St Leger Homes of Doncaster tenants 'satisfied' with overall service of council housing landlord

The housing provider’s Tenant Satisfaction Measures have been published in an end-of-year performance report.

80 per cent of St Leger Homes of Doncaster tenants are “satisfied” with the social landlord’s service.

The social housing provider submitted its tenant satisfaction results in a report being presented to Mayor Ros Jones’ cabinet and the overview and scrutiny management committee on June 17 and 18, 2026.

It revealed that 80.5 per cent of tenants were “satisfied with the overall service from their landlord” last year, down only slightly from 81 per cent in 2024/25.

A spokesperson for SLHD said: “We are pleased to report that overall tenant satisfaction has remained stable… reflecting consistent performance and a continued focus on delivering high-quality services for our tenants based on their feedback and input into our policies and services through effective tenant consultation and scrutiny.”

76 per cent of SLHD tenants said they were satisfied that the social landlord “listens to tenants views and acts upon them”; 85 per cent said the landlord “keeps them informed about things that matter to them”; and 90 per cent said SLHD “treats them fairly and with respect”.

However, there was a three per cent drop in the number of tenants who felt SLHD make a “positive contribution” to their local neighbourhood – dropping to 77.8 per cent in 2025/26.

The SLHD spokesperson said: “Tenant feedback has also played a key role in strengthening our wider housing management approach. A new Tenancy Agreement introduced in 2025 is helping to support a robust, inclusive, and effective service.”

They added that despite the drop to 77.8 per cent, tenant satisfaction in this area remains in the top quartile for council housing providers nationally.
