A number of South Yorkshire Police patrol cars were dispatched to Bentley railway station on Watch House Lane last night following reports of a person near to the railway line.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed officers had attended the incident but did not realise further details and said the matter was being dealt with by British Transport Police.We have contacted BTP for further details.
