Police and ambulance crew on scene after Doncaster car crash

Police and an ambulance crew are reported to be on the scene this evening after a car crash in a Doncaster village.

Residents said the incident happened on Grange Lane, Rossington, at the junction with King George’s Road.

One resident who saw the emergency services arrive around 5.30pm, said the collision involved two vehicles.

He said: “I heard a huge bang and saw a red Ford and a white Mini at a bad junction near Grange Lane.”

He said it was regarded as a dangerous junction and was metres from a primary school, adding it was the second collision close to a school in the village this month and there were concerns over speeding locally.

Police said in a statement: “A road traffic collision was reported to us at 5.20pm, on Grange Lane outside the White Rose Pub. Two vehicles were involved a white Mini and a red Ford Fiesta. It doesn’t look like there are any serious injuries. Police and ambulance attended.”
