PICTURES: Haxey Gate Inn hosts annual boat race
Messing about on the water were regulars at the Haxey Gate Inn at Misterton when the venue hosted its annual boat race day this month.
Men and women, old and young, took part, many in fancy dress, with the outright winners being the Carry on Campers team. Other attractions included face painting, a bouncy castle, a barbecue, plus a disco. The day was in aid of the Help for Heroes charity. A pub spokesman said: “We had a great day and the weather was perfect.” Thanks to the Haxey Gate Inn for use of their photographs.
