GALLERY: Looking back as Doncaster Museum prepares to close its doors

It will be the end of an era next week as Doncaster Museum closes down after 56 years.

The building in Chequer Road, opened by Princess Margaret in 1964, is moving into new premises in Waterdale this summer.

We’ve delved back into the archives to take a look back at the Museum and Art Gallery’s history.
