Theresa was found living in awful conditions with old injuries left to heal without treatment.

It was clear that she would need substantial help and fast.

Theresa was unable to walk on her front leg due to an old injury that had caused her bones to fuse together incorrectly. Not only was this painful for Theresa but it was also having a detrimental effect on her ability to walk.

Theresa was taken to RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre timid and in pain. It was determined by Peak Vets that Theresa would have a better chance at a happy life if the fused leg was amputated.

Theresa recovered from the operation with RSPCA foster carers and her sweet and affectionate nature shone through. In fact they soon realised she was part of the family – permanently.

Although she has a way to go, Theresa is making leaps and bounds in her mobility and is now able to enjoy her walks again; all with her new forever family.

The local RSPCA Centre is looking forward to re-opening charity shops and offering centre services such as dog training as soon as allowed under the Government road map. The team continue to rehabilitate and re-home local animals in need as they have done throughout the pandemic.
