Police appeal for witnesses after elderly man sustains serious injuries in Doncaster crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a car crash in Doncaster which left an elderly man with serious injuries.

South Yorkshire Police want any witnesses or motorists who have dashcam footage to contact them, following the serious collision on Bawtry Road yesterday evening, Friday, September 25.

At around 7.25pm, it is reported that a dark grey Audi A5 and a white Piaggio scooter were involved in a collision on the A638 Bawtry Road, at the junction with Gliwice Way.

Both the Audi and the scooter are understood to have been travelling towards Bessacarr.

The rider of the scooter, a 78-year-old man from Doncaster, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains today.
