Mobile coffee and cake van to take up residence at Doncaster beauty spot
The owners of a mobile coffee and cake van say they are “beyond thrilled” after announcing they will be taking up residence at a popular Doncaster beauty spot.
Popular local refreshments van Dougie’s has been selected to serve up drinks at treats at historic Cusworth Hall, bosses have announced.
Revealing the news on socia media, owner Bren Taylor-Cuttell said: “We have some absolutely amazing news to share.
“At the end of last month, we went up against 15 other fantastic businesses when we applied for an exciting partnership opportunity at Cusworth Hall.

"Following the stunning renovation of their beautiful Walled Garden, they were searching for the perfect coffee and cake vendor to support the Walled Garden Open Days in 2026
“And we are beyond thrilled to say… they chose us!
“After making it through to the final two, we attended a meeting where we had the chance to share all about Dougie’s — our ethos, our passion, and our future plans — and we’re so proud to say we’ve been given this incredible opportunity.
“We don’t know who the other finalist was, but we know how much this would have meant to them too. We genuinely wish them every success for the future
“To make things even more exciting, the Walled Garden has now been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society and is officially an RHS Partner Garden.
“The garden opens on Good Friday and will be welcoming visitors every Bank Holiday, plus the second and fourth Sunday of each month until October — and we’ll be there serving up your favourite coffee and cake.
“We cannot wait to see you there and be part of something so special. Thank you for supporting us — this is such a huge moment for Dougie’s!”
Last year, the Royal Horticultural Society selected Cusworth to join its prestigious partner garden scheme.
Bosses selected the Walled Garden at the property as one of 17 new gardens to join the project.
The Walled Garden has been beautifully restored to its former glory, featuring contemporary waves of grass and vibrant, hot-coloured herbaceous planting in the Hall Garden that echo the surrounding 18th-century parkland.
