Four of the management team from the shopping outlet spent the day at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice helping to sort and organise the charity’s fundraising area.

Abby Chandler, deputy centre manager for Lakeside Village said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and we know what a significant difference they make to families in our region. We’ve fundraised for them at the centre and we decided that we’d like to give some of our time to help them.

“We’ve had a really interesting day helping them to audit their fundraising stock and prepare items for raffles and tombolas.

“Giving time can be just as valuable as giving money to some charities and we hope that the work we’ve done today will help them with their fundraising efforts in the future.”

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice supports children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families, both at the North Anston hospice and in family homes. Their support services include overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups and much more.

Eleanor Hughes, Regional Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We are thrilled that the team from Lakeside Village gave their time today to help us to organise our fundraising area and stock take our items. We’d urge any corporate teams who are looking to give time to a project to get in touch as there is always something that they can get involved in at the hospice to make a difference.

“We rely on kind donations to help to keep us running and in addition to that we are always grateful to organisations who can spare their time to get involved and take on a project at the hospice or support one of our events.”
