Hundreds of young people gathered for three day music, art and drama festival
Hundreds of young people gathered in Doncaster to showcase their talents in the world of music, art and drama.
They all took part in the Don Valley Festival, held over three days in Edlington at the Thomas Wharton Academy.
The festival is one of the biggest and most prestigious in Yorkshire and has been showcasing the talents of young people for more than a hundred years - the first festival was held way back in 1912.
Festival President Dorothy Weaver said: “Once again we were thrilled by the standard of the performers. We had hundreds taking part, delivering songs, music, poetry, prose and much more.”

For two performers it was a very special event. Aurelia Grundy was named Best Musician at the festival and Lily Hammond was named the Most Outstanding Competitor in the speech and drama section of the festival.
