Festive tractor run raises more than £7,000 for local hospice

A festive tractor run taking in villages around Doncaster has raised more than £7,000 for a local hospice.

Belton Farmers and Friends collected £7,165.16 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare, supporting the charity’s vital work caring for people with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families.

After cash was carefully counted, checked, and double-checked, the final confirmed total reflects the generosity of the community and everyone involved in the event.

The funds were raised through the Belton Farmers and Friends Tractor Run on December 21 which brought together farmers, families, local businesses and supporters from across the area.

The event once again highlighted the strength of the local community and its commitment to supporting essential services close to home.

A spokesperson for Belton Farmers and Friends said: “We are absolutely blown away by the support. To raise over £7,000 is an incredible achievement and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, helped organise, or supported us behind the scenes. We’re proud that these funds will make a real difference for Lindsey Lodge Hospice & Healthcare.”

Belton Farmers and Friends would like to thank all participants, sponsors, volunteers and members of the public who contributed to making the fundraiser such a success.
