Feeling flush? You can buy this Doncaster public toilet block for £18,000
If you’re feeling flush, a room with a loo is coming up for sale in Doncaster – but you’ll have to spend more than a penny to get your hands on it.
The public toilet block in Moorends is set to go up for auction later this month – with a guide price of a cool £18,000.
The conveniences, which are situated on the corner of Wembley Road and Marshland Road could be converted for ‘alternative uses’ say auctioneers Pugh Auctions and benefits include running water, drainage and an electricity meter.
The toilet block forms part of a wider 0.098 acre site which was formerly used as a car sales lot.
A sales pitch from Pugh reads: “A freehold site of approximately 0.098 acres with a former public WC situated on site.
"Previously used as a car sales pitch but could be used for alternative uses subject to the necessary consents.
"The site benefits from running water, mains connected drainage and an electricity meter already being in place and operational.”
The promotional material boasts of Moorends’ links and adds: “Located at the end of a parade of shops on the corner of Marshland Road and Wembley Road, Moorends is a village approximately 1.5 miles north of Thorne, 12 miles north east of Doncaster and 16 miles west of Scunthorpe. Moorends benefits from easy access to the M18 (J6) and Thorne North train station which provides links to Doncaster, Hull and Scarborough.”
The toilets will be auctioned online on June 22 with bidding opening at 10am.
