The single was covered as part of All Eyes on Culture, a project that saw b:friend neighbours, from the local charity, select songs for two local musicians to sing.

As part of the project, commissioned by Right Up Our Street, with support from Arts Council England and Doncaster Council, August was given the track to listen to and he then recorded a cover for the neighbours to enjoy.

“But I loved it and am now a fan.

“It was a great project to be a part of bringing the younger and older community together through music.”

All Eyes on Culture was one of seven projects that took place in Doncaster during June commissioned by Right Up Our Street in a bid to ensure artists’ work continued to engage with people in the town during the coronavirus lockdown period.

Mike Niles, from b:friend: said “It is really nice that at a time when older neighbours in Doncaster have been forced to self-isolate and disconnect for their own health, these artists are connecting and offering companionship through music.”
