The 28-year-old singer released his debut album Walls this year and had just launched a world tour in support of the record but was forced to scrap it after just a few dates because of the coronavirus crisis.

It included a homecoming date at The Dome which also had to be pulled but which has now been rescheduled to September 16.

In the full list of Britain’s richest musicians, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Paul McCartney are joint first on the list, with fortunes of £800m apiece.

Third spot in the full list goes to Rihanna, with a wealth of £468m.

The full list of Britain’s wealthiest people will be published in this weekend’s Sunday Times.
