Victoria Lee, aged 36, from Bessacarr, cares for her son Jack, 10, who has a number of complex health issues and is extremely vulnerable to Covid-19.
She said the prices being quoted on websites made her feel ‘physically sick’ and hit out at those who ‘exploit and try to profit’ from such a ‘devastating’ virus.

Hide AdJack lives with conditions such as supra supranuclear palsy and Bulbar palsy, which affect the impairment and function of the cranial nerves.
The family already use antibacterial products on everything as a daily routine, due to Jack’s condition, and Victoria said they are having ‘severe problems’ getting hold of the products they normally use.
On the price hikes, she said: “It made us feel physically sick.
“We honestly don’t know how anyone can exploit and try to profit out of such a devastating virus and those with a genuine need.

Hide Ad“We are desperate for the dettol all in one spray - sold in a can - as we use this anyway.
“It’s great as you don’t need to wipe it down, you can just spray and go.
“We use it for Jack’s medical equipment, bed, door handles, but we can’t get it from anywhere.
“We looked on Ebay and saw one for just under £50 - It’s shocking.”
