Doncaster mum cheers up pals doing household chores in her wedding dress

But the 38-year-old from Wheatley Hills got her dress out for the first time in 11 years to do her housework and cheer up her friends and family.

Mindy is a key worker in catering at Doncaster Royal Infirmary working to keep the doctors and nurses supplied with food.

Bur she decided to get her wedding dress back out after seeing a string of celebrities doing the same sort of thing by dressing up in their poshest clothes to do routine jobs around the house on social media, because they cannot go out during lockdown.

She said: “Loads of stars seem to be doing it, and I stumbled across my old wedding dress when I was tidying up in the children’s play room – I thought I’d torment them by putting it on.

“They were a bit gobsmacked when I went outside in it to put the bins out, and got on with the housework in it.

“I’ve posted the pictures on social media and I’m expecting some of my friends now to take up the challenge.

“The people at work thought it was hilarious, so at least its made them smile.”

As well as putting the bins out, the pictures show her mopping the kitchen floor and doing the washing up in her wedding dress.

Friend Liz Rowarth said: “It gave us all something to laugh about, and we thought she looked amazing.”
