Doncaster man is handing out donations to anyone in need

A Doncaster man has collected hundreds of donations and will be hosting an event next month so that local people in need can pick up clothes, food and childrens toys.

Warm Hearts was started by 25 year old Jordon Ainsworth from Mexborough.

A year ago he began collecting donations for those in need.

He said: “I’m going to be hosting an event on May 8 which is open to anybody in need.

“It will be held in the Denaby area but a specific location is still to be confirmed.

“There will be clothes, food and toys for kids.

“I’ve had hundreds of people donate goods.”

Jordan wants to help local people after many have struggled over the past year due to Covid-19.

“I know how it feels to struggle,” he said.

“I know what it’s like to have nothing.

“I want to pay it forward and hopefully inspire others to do the same.”

He also wants to bring peace to the local area as he said it has been turbulent for residents.

“The young kids here know nothing but drugs and gangs,” he continued.

“I want to show them something different.”

Jordon’s own children have been an inspiration to him.

He said he wants to be a role model to them and show them the benefits of helping others.

“If you have nothing come and we will help you,” he said.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if more people were willing to help others in their time of need.”
