Doncaster boy Alfie Gosnay, 12, is jetting off the US to shoot a feature film called Sacrificium

Alfie, from Spotbrough, has landed a part in a thriller set in an orphanage called Sacrificium, which is due to be filmed this autumn in Ohio.
It is the latest showbiz job for Alfie, who attends Lets Act drama group in Bentley.

Proud mum Bev Jennings said the people casting the film had got in touch after seeing his Instagram profile, which she runs, and then contacted his agents.
She said a few of cast members were making their first film.
She said: “I got a message asking if he could work in the USA, and asking if he would like to audition.”
It was a time of mixed emotions for the family, as Bev’s mum and Alfie’s grandmother, Elaine Corner had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in December.

Hide AdIt was confirmed Alfie would get the part shortly after her funeral.
Elaine had been a big supporter of Alfie and his acting. She had been on stage herself as part of the Doncaster country duo BC and Lainey.
"With everything that was going on, it was an emotional roller coaster,” said Bev. “It was a nice thing to happen amid a dreadful time.
"We’re so excited that he has got this. His grandmother would be thrilled. I think he will dedicate it to her.

Hide Ad“He’s really excited – he can’t quite believe it. he has worked hard and done a lot of auditions to get here, sometime getting knocked back, so he’s really chuffed.”
The former Richmond Hill Primary School pupil moved in September to Hill House School, at Finningley, on a performing arts scholarship, and also enjoys football, playing for Barnburgh Athletic, until they closed, and now for Sprotbrough Crusaders.
He hs prevously done paid acting work on cruise ships, perforning on board in the musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
His stage school Let’s Act, holds an open day on Sunday June 27, running from 10am until 11am for five to nine year olds, and 12noon to 1pm for 10 to 16 year olds as tasters ahead of starting in September.
