Controversial YouTuber Charlie Veitch films "assassination" video on Doncaster streets
Controversial YouTuber Charlie Veitch has visited Doncaster to film what he has described as “an assassination” of the city’s shops, streets and buildings – attacking the Frenchgate centre, the Mansion House and Doncaster Minster.
The former conspiracy theorist uploaded a 45 minute of his strolls around the city centre, where he filmed himself criticising city centre buildings and shops as well as interacting with fans who approached him on the streets.
He also filmed himself sticking the boot in on the city’s Civic Offices, Waterdale, the Police Station and Doncaster Magistrates Court and Crown Court.
Titling the footage “The Assassination of Doncaster By the Coward Charlie Veitch,” the clip has already been viewed nearly 100,000 times.

The footage begins in the Market Place where he begins by telling viewers: “Doncaster doesn’t have the best reputation these days,” describing the city as “somewhere between Hull and Sheffield.”
He then films one of the city’s red jacketed safety wardens and the city’s CCTV cameras, describing them as “Orwellian swastikas.”
The clip also shows him criticising the number of bargain shops, vape shops and amusement arcades, with fans coming up to shake hands and chat with him as he films.
He talks about parking his car in the “scariest and most menacing car park I’ve ever left my car in” and describes Doncaster as blighted by “urban decay.”
The clip shows him walking along Baxter Gate, Frenchgate and St Sepulchre Gate, pausing in front of the Frenchgate centre and criticising its “Orwellian telescreen” – the video screen opposite Clock Corner.
He is also seen in a discussion with people on a Socialist Worker stand at Clock Corner
He also filmed himself criticising the city’s street artworks – including the mining memorial at the bottom of Printing Office Street where the clip shows a former miner accusing him of “taking the p***” after discussing the memorial with viewers.
The film also sees him attacking boarded up buildings and shops in Silver Street and Waterdale
He describes Danum House as “an abandoned monstrosity,” describes Silver Street as “decay street” and the junction of Hall Gate and Cleveland Street as “the crossroads of doom.”
Later, he can be seen describing the Magistrates Court and Police Station as “grey and depressing” and “like the Soviet Union" and “apocalyptic.”
He also describes Doncaster as part of “the managed decline of the West” and blasts one of the city’s festive Snowman sculptures as “a beady eyed scary b******”
Veitch, who has more than 800,000 subscribers and 332 million views, has stoked controversy in recent years with a series of videos visiting northern towns and cities.
