North Lincolnshire pupils urged to have their say on Facebook

Pupils at North Lincolnshire schools can find out more about their school nurse thanks to Facebook.

The school nurses, who work for Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), have revamped their Facebook page after young people said they prefer information on social media. Now pupils can simply search for School Nurses in North Lincolnshire

The page has just undergone a revamp with new images, and gives young people information on a range of topics from school nurse drop-ins to emotional and mental well-being advice and support.

Emma Gorvett, a RDaSH school nurse who has organised Facebook for the school pupils, said:” Young people want information given in ways that is easy for them to access and Facebook is ideal. It can be daunting having to ask a question to an adult, Facebook provides an opportunity for an easy to go to place for information, if there is something you would like know more about then just let us know.”
